I put several pictures on today but they are in reverse order from they way i had intended. Anyway, they are some pictures of new construction going on at Mustang Mountain.

Looking to the southwest section from Mustang Mountain, you will see the beginning of CAC's new baseball field. Having purchased this additional 40 acres of land a few years back will afford the opportunity to have 3 athletic fields with also sometime in the future an enclosed practice field. In the beginning, we never dreamed that so much could be accomplished on this mountain side. Hard work and dedication of a great host of individuals have made it happen and still continuing to make this school one of the great ones.

All of the new construction going on has taken a toll on a large amount of our shurbbery around the school. Our former President, Bob Diles has worked extremely hard to save a lot of the plants that had been put out over the years by loyal parents. One of those men who worked hard was my close friend and encouragement in the early days of the school was Dr. Gene Word. Dr. Word passed on and really never got to see what he had done in making the campus beautiful. Bob Diles, even though being retired (pictured here) has saved a lot of the plants by relocating them. He has done this on his own because he has that genuine love for CAC and led it through the main growing years.

This is the area previously mentioned where the student commons area will be. This was the original entrance to the school building on the right and the gym entrance on the left. This will become enclosed and serve as a gathering place for our students and will provide shelter while going from building to building. The bell from one of the last steam engines of Baltimore and Ohio Railroad that was donated to CAC had to be removed. Hopefully I will be able to relocate it. It seemed to have gotten painted every year by one of our athletic rivals.

This is another view fron the west showing how the new construction is being tied in with the current facilities. The overall complex will have a great appearance and will overlook the west parking area as well as the new athletic fields.

This is the west view of the Science and Technology addition. The extra excavation will allow for some additional classroom space. In addition to outside appearances, additional space is now available drama and dressing rooms where the previous science lab was located. It is very encouraging to see our enrollment figures back above the 1100 mark for the coming school year. Work is also continuing on the three new fields. When finished there will be a baseball, soccer and practice field. Additional photos to follow with more of the new construction going on. We are now one of the three largest private schools in the state.

This is a picture of the beginning construction of the Science and Technology Building at Central Arkansas Christian School. This view is from the North side and at the entrance of the main drive. I went through the building last week and was overwhelmed by the size and how far along the building is. Needless to say, this part of the 3.6 million dollar construction now going on is of special interest to me. The entire north side of the facility will have a face lift with the student common area in between the gym and the entrance to the original building.

Well, at the beginning of the war in Iraq, I was supportive of the Presidents decision. Especially after the 9-11 event that cost the lives of thousands of Americans, I felt that we had to do something to keep our country safe from terroists. I believe that need is still there and whatever needs to be done to protect our families, I still support. However, I have decided that our troops must be brought home now rather than waiting any longer. If those people over there choose to kill each other, so be it. I feel we have already lost way too many servicemen for a cause that at best is hopeless. I feel also that here in the U.S. we are more concerned about Paris Hilton being in jail than we are about losing our military men. Thank you Dick Luger and the other Republicans that are now coming to the forefront and wanting our troops home.

I have been watching the TV program on America Has Talent. I wish they would take this program to the Senate and House in Washington to see if there is any talent there. A good place to search for talent would be the presidential candidates. I have my doubts if any of them could solve our problems here at home. Hillary was in Little Rock this past week telling how she was going to solve the health care problems for all Americans. Hold on, didn't she have this project for months in the 90's and never came up with the slightest hint of a solution? What about Edward's wife kicking off the Gay Rights Parade this past weekend? There are problems also with the GOP candidates as well. I long for another Ronald Reagan but there is no one among the bunch that would be worthy of tying his shoes. This is my story and I'm sticking to it.

Well, I will attempt to do some more postings after a couple of months or more having trouble with my blog. I had to hire two Hi-tech experts to come in and show me how to get back on again. Since I have been away, I begin to think of the old adage that when we get older we enter our second child hood. I also know that if you don't succeed, find someone who knows what they are doing. That is why I depend on a host of friends and family who keep me going in the right direction. A lot of things have happened in the last couple of months that I missed out commenting about. Especially folks like Imus, Rosie and Paris and several others I will not mention. These folks have been most mistreated. After all, if it were not for folks like this, who could we use as examples of those you should not pattern your life after? Oh well, there is a whole host of folks I would like to see find them a place in some foreign land and pitch their tent. People like Rosie, Al, Jesse, and the others that despise this country could sit around under the big tent and sip cool aid and pour out their venom all day. But I should not even wish this on any other country. Its good to be back.
