Well, what can I say. This has been a great day. This morning Cindy, Hunter and myself traveled to Hot Springs to see out CAC Lady Mustangs play for their third State Championships in basketball. This year started with a tragedy that stunned the entire CAC family with the death of Andrew Brady our assistant coach. Little was known at the time how this would affect our team. However, there is a great deal of strength in our young people in how they handle situations like this. They rallied together and dedicated this season to the memory of Andrew. They have had a remarkable season and today played Lonoke for the championship. At times, it seemed as if they were playing against odds and a very good Lonoke team. One never knows what is going through their minds in situations like this. With about 3 minutes left in the game we were down by 10 points and I felt they could not win their 3rd championship or threepeat as it was called. However, they responded and ended up by winning by 5 points. Needless to say, there were many tears shed as Coach Q. and the team called Anthony and Paula down on the court and shared with them the celebration. Their warm-up jerseys had a picture of Andrew on the front and Brady Bunch on the back. Gee, I love this school.
The other event is our Arkansas Basketball team. Who would have thought 2 weeks ago that the Hogs would win 5 straight and be in the championship game against Florida tomorrow in Atlanta. Most of the fans in the state had written the Hogs off this year and talking about getting rid of our coach. I believe they will get a bid to the big dance. It would be icing on the cake if they could beat Florida tomorrow. As I said earlier you never know what these younger folks can do. One thing for sure, regardless of what Wally Hall writes in his column, I am in favor of giving Coach Heath another year. Go Hogs Go

I've not been on for awhile. It was a lot of fun and a great comeback by the Lady Mustangs.
